Railing Installations

Railing installations and stair/rail repairs are available for all styles and materials, from traditional styles and modern options including iron balusters, wire cable, and glass.



Brookfield Glass Railing

For this project, our client requested an update to their existing 2nd story deck.  To complete the project, we added new Ipe decking to ensure longevity and strength, and installed a beautiful modern railing system with glass panels, metal posts, and a wood rail along the top.  The glass panels allow the homeowners to enjoy their lake view nearly completely unobstructed.

Danbury Stair Update

In this Danbury home, we updated our client's staircase with new railing, posts, balusters and tread covers.

Danbury Deck Build

For this Danbury project, our client requested the construction of a new 800 sq. foot lower level deck and stairs to an upper story deck as well. The upper story deck required a complete rebuild as the existing structure was unsound, and the result is a more functional and safe outdoor living area.

Hidden Door - Ridgefield

For this Ridgefield home, our client requested a full wall of custom bookshelves in their dining room, including one set of shelves doubling as a hidden door leading to the butler's pantry.  The door is nearly invisible when closed and blends perfectly with the rest of the shelving we built for the space.

Wood Ceiling and Beams

For this lakeside cabin we installed wood support beams and shiplap on the ceiling giving the home a rustic feel.

Modern Glass & Wood Railing

For this modern design, the clients requested a custom designed glass and wood railing.  The Stair Repair, LLC completed the installation of this railing in Chappaqua, NY

Custom Wine Rack

Specially designed wooden wine storage unit, with drawer.  Built-in to fit alongside the existing staircase, and provide the maximum capacity for our client's wine collection.  Please see our Norwalk railing install for photos of the new railing which we also installed during this home renovation.

Railing and Paneling - Armonk, NY

New railing installation on 2 staircases and curved balcony, and custom paneling added on front stairs.

Hallway Paneling

For this project, our client requested paneling along their hallway including beadboard.  We are able to customize a paneling system to create the perfect look for your home.

V.M. Railing Installation

This project required us to remove a worn and dated railing and balusters to make way for a more modern look.  Simple square balusters and posts made a big impact in this entryway.

Railing Installation - Norwalk, CT

The railing and baluster installation required us to install new rail and balusters for both the main staircase as well as into the basement.  A special rail system was created to work with the support pillars installed on either side of the staircase.

Deck Update & Repair

For this project, we replaced worn and rotted deck boards, built a new railing, and created a new staircase from upper deck to yard.  These simple updates helped create a safe and refreshed space for the homeowner's to enjoy.


Custom Maple Mudroom Bench - Danbury, CT

Mudroom bench/locker system built from solid maple, with bead board interior.  Dimensions 8' L x 5' 9" H x 16" D.  Benches can be custom designed and built to fit your unique taste and space.

For this project, our client's requested we update their front entry, creating a proper mudroom area.  Features of the space include shiplap cladding on the walls, slate flooring, a reclaimed wood bench and chalkboard wall.

Wall Mounted Wine Rack

Wall mounted wine storage rack, custom built to fit into your home.  Top constructed from rip sawn oak, and can be tailor made to meet your needs.

Bridgewater Railing Update

This project in Bridgewater, CT gave us the opportunity to update this staircase by removing carpeting from the steps, replacing the treads, risers and railings. The changes made for a fresh, updated look in the home.

Sun Room Renovation

At this Danbury, CT home, our client contacted us to repair the stairs leading down from the 2nd story sun porch.  Upon investigating, we uncovered massive termite damage on the porch, which was also dangerously unsupported.  The end result turned the under utilized porch into a beautiful bonus room with vaulted ceiling, new exterior siding, and a new and safe Trex landing and finally down the new and restructured stairs to the backyard and patio.

Inside the former sun porch, the sliding doors which connected the space to the house were removed and the wall opened up to be integrated into the rest of the house.  The space was insulated and new windows and an exterior door were installed making this a comfortable extension of the home.

Kitchen Cabinet Painting

A traditional kitchen with medium-dark wood cabinets was instantly refreshed with white paint.  The countertops and appliances were not replaced, but instantly look like new against the crisp white of the cabinetry.

Stair Railing Update

In this home, we took a partially closed, carpeted stairwell with posts and railings from 1981, and opened the space up, adding new railing, posts and balusters on both sides of the stairs. By opening the wall to the living room, the space feels more open, has more light traveling through and the new railing has brought the home up to date.

Custom Entertainment Center

This custom media/entertainment unit was designed to have a rustic feel, and to fit into our client's family room.  The unit offers plenty of storage above and below, along with adjustable shelving on top.

Custom Closet

In this master bedroom, we created a customized built-in closet for our clients.  The doors and internal shelving and drawers were built specifically for this space.  In addition to the closet, we crafted several built-in bookcases to house the client's library.

Custom Trex Deck

This 2400 sq ft custom deck was built with Trex Signature decking and rail system. The deck surrounds both the pool and hot tub, and connects to a smaller second level deck. Built-in safety gates were installed at the top of the stairs and separate a portion of the large deck from the pool area. The deck was custom-designed to extend over a drop-off at the end of the property and include plenty of space for family gatherings and sun-bathing.

Fairfield County Bathroom Remodel

This small master bathroom underwent a full upgrade, with new fixtures and features, including a walk-in shower, new tile and a sleek new vanity.
